SubLater has no analytics, trackers, or ads, and never transmits your viewing activity to us or any third party. Subtitles are processed locally in your browser; sentences you choose to save for review are stored locally on your device and never leave it. The one thing that does leave your device is the email address you enter to unlock a paid subscription — and only if you enter one. It is used solely to ask whether that address has an active subscription, and we store it on no server of ours — it stays only on your device until you disconnect it. The one exception is the page Chrome opens when you uninstall: its address carries a few coarse values (language, version, day counts — see below), none of which can identify you. If you choose to answer its one-question survey and press Send, your answer is stored together with your IP address for spam screening (details below).
__es_t0, the browser storage of the streaming sites SubLater runs on — from version 0.19.13 the site copy holds only the day (not the time) and is not written in incognito or private windows; a copy written by an earlier version holds the exact time until you next open that site with SubLater installed, when it is rounded down to the day. The site copy is what survives an uninstall, and it means a streaming site could in principle see that SubLater was installed and when the trial started. Only the earlier date is ever kept, so this value can shorten a trial but never extend one. Clearing that site's browsing data removes it. No date is ever sent to us.sublater.netlify.app to ask whether it has an active subscription. That endpoint checks it against our payment provider (Paddle) and answers with nothing but a yes/no and a subscription status. We keep no database and store nothing there — the check is stateless. The address is sent in the request body, not in the web address, so it is not written into server access logs. As with any network request, your IP address is visible to the server. The check repeats about every six hours while an email is connected, and you can remove it at any time with “Disconnect” in the extension popup. If you never enter an email, SubLater never contacts our server or any third party. (To display subtitles it may load the subtitle files of the video you are watching from the streaming service itself — those requests go only to that service, on its own pages, and never through us.)sublater.netlify.app/bye.html) in a new tab. That page asks one question — why you left — plus an optional text box. The extension itself sends nothing: Chrome merely opens the address. The address carries a language value (ko or en) so the page can match your language and, from version 0.19.6, four coarse values that give your answer context — the extension version, days since the first install (the trial start date — a reinstall keeps the original), the number of days subtitles actually ran, and how far you got through the first-use tips (0–3). These cannot identify you; no email, viewing history, saved sentences, or raw install timestamp is included. The page has no analytics. Like any web address, the address (those values included) reaches the server when the page loads, but we read and keep them only if you press Send, together with your answer and note. When you press Send, the submission is stored by our web host's form service (Netlify Forms), which also records the sender's IP address and browser type (user agent) with it and may check it for spam through Akismet; we use these only to screen out spam. Submissions are kept on Netlify until we delete them. Recipients and location: Netlify, Inc. (United States) stores the submission, and Akismet by Automattic Inc. (United States) may receive it for the spam check. Close the tab without pressing anything and nothing is kept (as with any web request, opening the page reveals your IP address to the server). From version 0.19.18 the same page also opens when you press “Tell us what’s missing” in the rating prompt — in that case no values at all are added to its address, and the same rules apply to anything you choose to send.Chrome extension (web purchase). Paid subscriptions bought on our website are sold through Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as merchant of record. Your payment details are handled entirely by Paddle under its own privacy policy, which is linked at checkout; SubLater never sees your card or billing information. Paddle is identified on the checkout page and on your receipt. To check a subscription, the email address you entered is passed to Paddle's API; the only thing that comes back to SubLater is the yes/no answer and subscription status described above.
SubLater for Safari (App Store — iPhone, iPad, Mac). Subscriptions in the SubLater app are sold and billed by Apple; we never see your payment details or your Apple Account. The app and its Safari extension ask Apple's StoreKit on your device whether a subscription is active, and the app keeps only that yes/no (and when the current period ends) in storage shared between the app and its extension on the same device (an App Group). From version 1.0.3 the same on-device storage also holds which of the supported sites you have set to Allow for SubLater and the day it last ran on each, so the app screen can tell you whether setup is working; none of this leaves your device. The Safari version has no email field, never contacts our server, and does not open the uninstall page described above. Cancellations and refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple.
SubLater operates on Netflix, Coupang Play, Disney+, YouTube, and Viki pages you visit, but is an independent product not affiliated with any of these services. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Safari용 SubLater(App Store — 아이폰·아이패드·맥). SubLater 앱의 구독은 Apple 이 판매·청구하며, 저희는 결제 정보나 Apple 계정을 보지 않습니다. 앱과 Safari 확장은 기기 안에서 Apple StoreKit 에 구독 여부를 묻고, 앱은 그 결과(예/아니오와 현재 기간이 끝나는 시각)만 같은 기기 안의 앱·확장 공유 저장소(App Group)에 둡니다. 1.0.3 부터는 같은 기기 안 저장소에 지원 사이트 가운데 SubLater 를 「허용」한 곳과 사이트별로 마지막 작동한 날짜도 둡니다 — 앱 화면이 설정이 제대로 됐는지 알려 드리기 위해서이며, 기기 밖으로 나가지 않습니다. Safari판에는 이메일 입력칸이 없고, 저희 서버에 접속하지 않으며, 위의 제거 안내 페이지도 열지 않습니다. App Store 구입의 해지·환불은 Apple 이 처리합니다.
SubLater는 넷플릭스·쿠팡플레이·디즈니+·유튜브·Viki 페이지에서 동작하지만, 이들 서비스와 무관한 독립 제품입니다. 각 서비스 이용은 해당 서비스의 약관과 개인정보처리방침을 따릅니다.
